UNGM provides the option for suppliers to register themselves as a Women-Owned Business (WOB) since mid-2017. Suppliers that registered before this date have the ability to update their registration with this information at any time.
A Women-Owned Business (WOB) refers to a legal entity that is more than 51-per-cent owned, managed and controlled by one or more women. The identification of WOBs enables UN organizations to support and strengthen gender-responsive procurement and supplier diversity and inclusion initiatives.
To update your registration and identify as a Women-Owned Business on UNGM, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the UNGM site and log into your UNGM account using your email address and password.
2. Click on Registration in the navigation menu.
To edit the registration, click on Edit under the General step.
3. Scroll down to the Company's Ownership Type section.
Select the option that applies. If Privately-owned or Publicly-traded has been selected, the option to identify as a Women-Owned Business will become available.
Select the option 'The company is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more women'. If this option is selected, the supplier will be registered on UNGM as a Women-Owned Business.
