A business license number is a reference number from a city, state and/or official document that grants the bearer the ability to engage in specific business activities within the designated area.
In the registration process, the license number is used to identify the supplier's records as unique.
It is best practice to provide the number which appears on the company's Certificate of Incorporation. If the supplier does not have any business license number, it is required to provide any other official identification number such as the tax ID number.
