The registration on UNGM requires suppliers to provide their business license number when creating an account on UNGM.
A business license number is a reference number from a city, state and/or official document that grants the bearer the ability to engage in specific business activities within the designated area.
In the registration process, the license number is used to identify the supplier's records as unique.
It is best practice to provide the number which appears on the company's Certificate of Incorporation. If the supplier does not have any business license number, it is required to provide any other official identification number such as the tax ID number.
For individual consultants, the license number is a required field when completing the Registration at Basic level. Consultants may include their own ID number.
