Suppliers may have been made aware of a specific procurement opportunity from an external source and may try to find it on UNGM. In some cases, this procurement opportunity is not listed on UNGM.
A procurement opportunity may not be listed on UNGM in the following cases:
- The procurement opportunity was not published on UNGM
UN organizations publish most of their procurement opportunities on UNGM. However, the publication of procurement opportunities on UNGM is not a mandatory requirement for some UN organizations.
It may be possible that this specific procurement opportunity has been published through other channels than UNGM. For example, the UN organization's website.
- The procurement process is restricted
In restricted procedures, only short-listed suppliers may submit offers. The invitation to bid or request for proposal will be communicated to the short-listed suppliers, usually through email or the organisation's e-procurement system. In this case, the procurement opportunity will not be accessible publicly on UNGM.
How to inquire about the UN procurement opportunity publication?
Suppliers are advised to contact the UN organization issuing the procurement opportunity and inquire about the publication of the procurement opportunity.
If the procurement opportunity has been published on UNGM and can not be found, suppliers are advised to contact UNGM using the contact form on the Help Centre. When contacting UNGM, suppliers are advised to provide the following information:

Name of the UN organization issuing the procurement opportunity;

Reference of the procurement opportunity;

How suppliers have been informed about the procurement opportunity (UN organization, contractor...etc).
