The United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) is the official procurement portal of the United Nations System. It was developed to increase and facilitate the access of prospective suppliers to the UN market.
Staff Positions (Jobs)
Individuals interested in traditional employment or staff positions with the United Nations should refer to the UN organizations' official career websites, such as UN Careers and/or unjobs.org.
Please note that UNGM does not manage staff recruitment, does not receive resumes/CVs for employment purposes, and will not respond to employment-related queries.
For more information about UNGM, read the: What is the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM)? and What is UNGM's role? articles.
Individual Consultant (IC) Opportunities
While UNGM is not a job board, it is a platform for IC opportunities. It is important to distinguish these from regular jobs:
IC opportunities are procurement contracts intended for subject matter experts to provide specific deliverables or professional services over a set period.
Unlike staff positions, ICs are engaged as independent suppliers. These opportunities are published as Call for individual consultants.
How to apply for IC opportunities?
If you are a subject matter expert looking for consultancy contracts:
1. Create an account on UNGM as an Individual Consultant. For more information, read the: How to create an individual consultant account on UNGM? article.
2. Search for Call for individual consultants in the Procurement opportunities page.
3. Express Interest: Some procurement opportunities will require electronic submissions (e-submissions) through e-procurement systems, and others will require hard-copy or email submissions. For more information, read the: How to participate in procurement opportunities on UNGM? article.
